The Charlotte County Clerk of Court and County Comptroller (Clerk) presents the information on this website as a service to the public. The Clerk has tried to ensure that the information contained in this electronic search system is accurate. The Clerk makes no warranty or guarantee concerning the accuracy or reliability of the content at this site or at other linked sites. Assessing accuracy and reliability of information is the responsibility of the user. The user is advised to search on all possible spelling variations of proper names, in order to maximize search results. The Clerk shall not be liable for errors contained herein or for any damages in connection with the use of the information contained herein. If you choose not to accept the conditions stated above, please exit this search application.

The Social Security office, including the Port Charlotte branch, will not accept our electronic certified documents. Any certified copy needed for a name change or benefits with the Social Security office will need to be obtained in the Clerk’s Official Records division at either of our office locations.

Electronic certified copies are accepted by Tax Collector’s Office and Passport Services.
